Every Sunday we go to church to get filled with the Lord’s word, but we never think about all the things that go on in a church day after day when we aren’t always there. The laughter of children, the happiness at a wedding, the sadness of a death or illness. This book brings you the everyday, ordinary happenings of what goes on in church from the view of “The Pew”

This book is an interesting book that follows you through the story of a family and insights of what it would be like to be a pew or any other object within a church. The daily occurrences, the lives of people in and out, everyday. The stories are followed by commentary from the pew and scriptures to give us more of God’s Word.

I think the author, Gail Larson, has given us something to think about. It is a fictitious story, but behind it the tale is a more in-depth meaning, “Does Your Pew Have Secrets?” “Would you change your life if your pew could speak and tell others what happens?” “Would you want your Pew to Speak?” It really gives us all something to think about. THE PEW.

About The Author

With more than 35 years of serving the Lord, Gail Larson’s focus continues to be "Making God’s Word Real for Everyone." She currently serves as President of Larson Ministries, Inc. and Pillar Publishing, Inc. Since the formation of Larson Ministries and Pillar Publishing, in late 2002, Gail has written four books, recorded two story compact discs, produced a presentation video, and developed and written fifteen major event seminars. These have been implemented numerous times across the country in Tennessee, Iowa, Arizona and Texas. Gail has also begun an outreach program where she ministers to the elderly and the shut-in population of the community. Gail and the Larson Ministries team lead Sunday Morning Church for Everyone.

Prior to forming Larson Ministries, Gail had an accomplished twenty seven year career as a registered nurse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from University of South Alabama and was awarded Outstanding Nurse of the Year. Her efforts were further recognized when she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing. She has been selected as a delegate for the People to People Ambassador Program to be one of the limited number of representatives from the American Organization of Nurse Executives. This invitation will provide an opportunity to share in thoughtful conversation with nursing peers in Russia during the fall, 2005.

Combining her nursing expertise with an additional five years experience as a called Minister of Worship and Music, Gail has broadened her efforts to bring people to the Lord through writing and speaking. Her books, Breathing Spaces, From Kansas to Oz, The Pew, and Ordinary Orchards, have given her a platform to reach an increasingly wider audience through the written word. In 2005, Gail will also publish The Altar Rail, Stairway to Baby Jesus, her first children’s book, and More Breathing Spaces. Her speaking topics are presented through comprehensive research, multi media presentations, music, drama, and holistic health improvement techniques. Each seminar is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of participants as identified by the host organization. Some of Gail’s seminar themes are: Faith or Fantasy, Monopolize Your Ministry, God Knows Your Name, and Landscapes of Our Life.

She continues to expand her knowledge base, furthering her education as she pursues a Master of Divinity degree at Trinity Theological Seminary - Newburg, Indiana. Gail resides in Humble, Texas with her husband and two sons.
