About the Author
C. D. Williams was born in Sacramento, California in 1939.
In 1957, at the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. When
he retired in 1984, he was a Chief Warrant Officer. During his twenty-seven
year career, Williams visited numerous exotic ports of call while serving on
Coast Guard ships, including many trips to the Philippines. He served in
Vietnam in 1967. From 1969 to 1971 he was assigned to a remote U.S. Coast
Guard LORAN station on the southwest coast of Palawan Island. Palawan is
his first novel. Chuck and his wife Maripi make their home in Las Vegas,
Nevada
