The story of two sisters that go to England on
vacation with their parents. It turns out that the old manor
they are staying in is haunted by the ghost of a young girl.
When the ghost first appears to the girls she is crying. The two
sisters set out to discover who she is, why she is crying, and
what they can do to help her. It is a good ghost story for 9-13
year olds, and is a family-friendly book.
About the Author
Jan E. Culbertson was born in Portland, Oregon in 1938. At age
seventeen, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He spent twenty-five years
in the Navy working in Naval Intelligence, where he honed his
writing skills writing intelligence reports. During his Naval career
Jan served on several cruisers, and many aircraft carriers on
Admiral's staffs. During the Vietnam War Jan saw duty in the war
zone several times and received various citations and awards.
He graduated from the University of North Florida in 1979, with a BA
in History, and from the University of San Diego, School of Law, in
1984, with a JD degree. After practicing law for a few years, Jan
quit the law business and entered into business in Mexico. Although
he still has business interests in Mexico, he now devotes his full
time to writing. He is married to the former Teresa de Jesus Villela
of Mazatlan, Mexico, and has six children and five grandchildren.
