A Gentleman Drunk - This is not a story that clouds the issues. This is a story that tells the issues!

A Gentleman Drunk

A Gentleman Drunk is a true story of alcoholism and recovery. Jeffrey, the author and alcoholic, opens his life, tells his story, and shares his experiences to show the impact alcoholism can have on one’s life.

From an early age, the author began to experience the desire for alcohol and in his later years, this desire spiraled out of control. The author is very open about his youth, his wild campus days, his party time in the city, his married life and his experiences with AA and recovery.

Most people think of drunks as weak, lower-class people, but Jeffrey shows that even in a million dollar lifestyle on Wall Street, alcoholism can trap anyone. The author even believed, at one time, “that great people always drink to get their best ideas“. After his drinking took hold of his life, his anger and attitude became worse and he soon realized that he needed help.

His recovery is inspirational and is truly heartfelt. Jeffrey doesn’t just share with you the recovery. He shares pain, death, arguments, suffering, struggles and more. This isn’t a story that clouds the issues. This is a story that tells the issues!

We suggest this book to a wide spectrum of people, including: students, teachers, businessmen, blue collar, white collar, and any adult who is interested in this topic.

Don’t become a statistic! Read this book and learn from Jeffrey’s mistakes and recovery.

From the Author

A Gentleman Drunk is a story about recovery from alcoholism. Although I drank for 40 years I never outwardly showed any signs of alcoholic behavior. Then all of a sudden, at 2:00 a.m. on 3rd Avenue in New York City, the police found me in a gutter clinging onto life.

This is my story on how I survived, despite often seemingly insurmountable obstacles and challenges, in order to conquer the debilitating effects of alcoholism.

Jeffrey hosts a radio show Cocktails at 5. Cocktails at 5 helps people understand how to recover from alcoholism and other addictive behaviors. It is designed to enhance standard recovery methods such as AA, rehab centers and self-help books. http://www.wsradio.com/cocktailsat5/
